Your holiday, at a glance
Japan is a captivating country where ancient traditions harmoniously blend with cuttingedge technology, offering a unique mix of historical charm and modern innovation. Renowned for its breathtaking natural landscapes, from the iconic Mount Fuji to the delicate beauty of cherry blossoms, Japan also stands at the forefront of technological advancements with bullet trains, robotics, and futuristic cities. Its rich culture is celebrated worldwide, with highlights including anime, manga, sushi, tea ceremonies, and the legacy of the samurai.
The journey often begins in Tokyo, the dynamic capital and one of the most exciting cities in the world. Tokyo is a mesmerizing metropolis where ultramodern skyscrapers stand beside ancient temples, and tradition coexists with innovation. Visitors can witness the iconic Shibuya Crossing, explore luxury shopping streets in Ginza, experience the electric atmosphere of Akihabara, or enjoy panoramic views from Tokyo Skytree. Traveling to Kyoto feels like stepping into a living museum of Japanese history and tradition. As the former imperial capital of Japan for over a thousand years, Kyoto is the cultural and spiritual heart of the country. The city is home to thousands of temples and shrines, including the breathtaking Fushimi Inari Taisha with its endless pathway of vermilion torii gates, the shimmering Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), and the tranquil Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. Kyoto’s preserved wooden houses, narrow stone streets, and traditional tea houses reflect the elegance of old Japan. In contrast, Osaka showcases Japan’s lively, fun-loving, and culinary-focused personality. Known as the “Nation’s Kitchen,” Osaka is famous for its incredible street food and vibrant nightlife. The dazzling neon lights of Dotonbori create an energetic atmosphere, while historic landmarks like Osaka Castle remind visitors of the city’s samurai-era past. Osaka’s friendly locals and casual vibe make it feel welcoming and warm. Food is at the heart of the city’s identity, with must-try dishes such as takoyaki (octopus balls), okonomiyaki (savory pancakes), and kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers).
